Project: Learner Personas Interactive Tab Graphic
Overview
The Learner Personas is an interactive tab tool for instructional designers and stakeholders invested in empathizing with the learner when conducting needs analysis. The interactive graphic introduces the concept of a Learner Persona, or a fictional learner profile, to help deeply understand the experiences, needs, challenges, and motivations of potential learners to help guide how the learning experience is approached. This strategy was adapted from Design Thinking for Training and Development by Sharon Boller and Laura Fletcher.

Problem and Solution
Instructional designers and stakeholders often move forward with elearning courses that do not accurately address the needs of the learner, therefore produce little change. Learner Personas are a way to empathize with who the learner is and their day-to-day experiences.
The Learner Persona Interactive Tab Graphic is a way to quickly introduce the parts of a Learner Persona to instructional designers who wish to utilize this strategy when conducting a Needs Analysis and communicating with stakeholders key information about the learner.
